Trailers

Dennison offers one of the biggest ranges of trailers around to suit virtually every type of operation.  To check which one will suit you, click on the relevant link above.

Skeletals

Dennison Trailers is the UK’s leading skeletal trailer maker by far, with a range of models available to suit every application.

Designed to meet the exacting demands of operators, it is no wonder nearly 50 percent of container haulage companies in Britain choose Dennison skeletals for their robust construction, high build quality, low weight and longevity.

Operators can select from a line up of models which is second to none.    Fixed skeletals include the standard four lock, which has become the benchmark by which the others are measured and the multi-function (MF) built to carry two 20 ft containers.  The MF can be used as a single unit or split into two separate trailers for improved flexibility.  Timber and tipping skeletals are also on offer.

Dennison’s sliding bogie skeletal is the market leader in its sector with a well deserved reputation for durability and low weight.

It can accommodate any size container from 20ft to 45 ft as well as 13.6 m intermodal containers within legal length, swing clearance and wheelbase tolerances.

And tanker operators can specify the four or eight lock trailer for ISO tanks up to 9.144 m.

Most Dennison skeletals are built at the company’s modern facility in Lancaster where the highest standards of production and quality control are paramount.

Curtainsiders

Dennison curtainsiders have established an enviable reputation among operators looking for a top notch product which is designed and built to the highest possible standards.

Under pinning each and every curtainsider is the renowned Dennison chassis - the culmination of over 40 years design and manufacturing expertise and experience.

Designs are available for up to 44 tonnes GVW and there are a number of neck thickness options.

A bolted construction is used for the main body which makes for a stronger, stiffer structure that is much easier to repair following accident damage.  The Euro-style flush front bulkhead is also a bolted assembly which is properly sealed to prevent water ingress and it incorporates pockets for the safe storage of load restraint straps.  Front corner uprights and the rear door pillars are galvanised.

Many features which are optional on other trailer maker’s products, such as heavy duty galvanised steel bump stops and front and rear ratchet tensioners, come as standard on a Dennison curtainsider.  But operators can tailor the trailer to meet their specific requirements.

Rear barn doors or optional flush alloy rear doors can be fitted and there is the choice of welded or pocketed side curtains as well as optional grp side skirts and wind deflectors.

Plant

Dennison offers an extensive range of purpose-built plant and machinery carrying trailers as well as extendable trailers for the construction and agricultural industries.

Machinery carriers are available in either three or four axle configurations for CAT 1 use. Practical features which are fitted as standard include hydraulic ramps, air-operated hinged front ramps in the lower deck and air suspension with rear lift axles.

Like all Dennison trailers these specialist units are built without compromise to work and carry on working in the toughest of haulage operations.

Attention to detail and excellent build quality are just two of the virtues of the construction process which pay dividends for the operator.

The Dennison tractor carrier for agricultural equipment or tractor unit transport has a payload of up to 30 tonnes while the teleporter trailer is a tri-axle step-frame with optional lifting rear axle and air over hydraulic rear ramps.  It is designed to carry rubber tyred machinery such as JCBs, tractors, teleporters and access platforms.

Dennison’s extendables can be specified with either a straight or drop frame which can be configured as either platform or machinery carriers.

Extendible to 21.5 m with 1500 mm locking intervals they come with numerous options such as self track rear steering axles and twist locks.  Air-operated locking pins are standard on all extendables.

Tippers

Three attributes have made Dennison tipping trailers the market leaders in Ireland – strength, stability and build quality.  All are built on the proven Dennison chassis which, combined with rugged body construction, ensures these trailers can take all that is thrown at them.

All meet the stringent demands of the IRTE’s highest Class A stability requirements and have been proven in service to be among the safest tipping trailers around.

Suitable for 44 tonne gross operation, Dennison tippers are available with capacities of up to 73 cu yds and can be specified as either a straight frame tipper or step frame.

The former is available with an alloy body, designed for heavy loads such as asphalt and aggregate, or with a steel body for demolition materials or scrap metal.

Step frame trailers are designed for grain and other agricultural loads as well as the haulage of bulk materials such as saw dust etc.

Ribbed aluminium and plank sided bodies can be supplied for reduced drag and easier cleaning.

In addition to the straight frame and step frame trailers, Dennison also offers its innovative sliding bogie tipper, a truly versatile unit which offers many advantages over an eight wheel rigid.  With the ability to reduce its length by a metre, the sliding bogie can often access restricted areas that even an eight legger can’t, yet it can carry up to 50 percent more payload than an eight-wheel tipper.
